California State Advocate – Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia began his connection to nature by exploring the Los Angeles River. While growing up in Los Angeles, a mentor requested that Michael explore the natural watershed of the San Gabriel River. Michael has continued the inspiration and foundation that was created that day in the Angeles National Forest. Since 2002 Michael has been involved in outdoor education. He has instructed, trained, and inspired future stewards as a Leave No Trace Master Educator. As your California State Advocate, Michael understands the challenge of improving impacted open spaces. Through community outreach and education Michael will continue to deliver and inspire the Leave No Trace ethic to a diverse population.
