Solutions

During the Hot Spot activation, the Subaru/Leave No Trace Team led a variety of workshops, outreach programs and community events at Steelhead Beach Regional Park. This included collaborating with Sonoma County Regional Parks (SCRP) to address the impacts happening at Steelhead Beach. Many of these efforts supplement the partnership between the Leave No Trace organization, Sonoma County Tourism, and Sonoma County Regional Parks as the wider county implements Leave No Trace in many areas that complement traditional outdoor recreation. The Hot Spot reached 246 people with stewardship education and activated volunteers and successfully conducted 5 educational programs over 5 days, 2 beach clean ups and a kayak river clean up.
