Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Teams
Subaru/Leave No Trace Teams lead trainings, workshops, and outreach programs from coast to coast focused on responsibly protecting and enjoying the outdoors.
The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Teams serve as the mobile education arm of the Leave No Trace organization, fulfilling this role since 1999 thanks to support from Subaru of America and other partners. The Teams, consisting of two educators each, conduct hands-on educational trainings, workshops and outreach programs for adults and children of all ages and backgrounds.
Educational programs range from thirty-minute workshops to two-day intensive, field-based courses in all environments. Additionally, the Teams conduct Spotlights, 1-3 day stewardship and education-focused activations across the country, and they lead programs at Hot Spots, targeted multi-day projects at sites experiencing severe impacts.
A Leave No Trace Workshop is any formal Leave No Trace presentation that is one day or less in length. Participants receive engaging, introductory training in Leave No Trace skills and ethics. We require a minimum group size of 12 participants for workshops.
The Teams set up their 10×10 booth display with Leave No Trace educational materials, interactive activities, and information on how to get more involved with Leave No Trace. This type of outreach is ideal for outdoor festivals, races, expos, and other forward-facing opportunities.
Level 1 Instructor Courses
The Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Course is a two-day, interactive workshop conducted in an outdoor setting. Level 1 Instructor Courses are fee-based. The minimum number of participants is 5; the maximum is 12.
