Colorado Tourism Office
In 2017, Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) and the Leave No Trace joined forces, in the first partnership of its kind, to create and share a responsible tourism message to people traveling throughout Colorado. CTO and Leave No Trace worked together to create the Care for Colorado Leave No Trace Principles and Are You Colo-Ready messaging to inspire both in and out of state visitors to protect the beautiful landscapes and irreplaceable cultural and historic resources that make Colorado such a sought-after destination.
Care for Colorado Coalition
Leave No Trace and the CTO decided it was critical that additional voices be brought in to help to educate visitors in Colorado about Leave No Trace practices. To help accomplish this they formed the Care for Colorado Coalition. This coalition is made up of a variety of associations, businesses, and organizations in Colorado that are amplifying a consistent Leave No Trace message across the state. These leaders in destination stewardship are recognized below, with deep appreciation for their commitment and support of Leave No Trace and Care for Colorado.
