As an avid camper and hiker, involved in Boy Scouts and living in the central part of New Jersey, I can attest that NJ has park types of every geographical characteristic. Whether the well known beaches, mountains, forests, historic, or water ways, there is park for everybody’s interests. For example, High Point State Park or Halgas Scout Reservation, which encourages Leave No Trace techniques. One of my goals is to bring attention to technologies that can help promote Leave No Trace. As well as focusing on outreach to young people to motivate and encourage them to pursue the principles of Leave No Trace.
