Dave Miller

Kansas State Advocate

My name is David Miller, but I often go by Dave. Having lived in eastern Kansas between the Kansas and Missouri rivers for most of my life, I gained an early appreciation for the area’s rich historical significance. I have been a member of Leave No Trace since I took my first trainer course in 2003. I find that the educational programs are necessary and engaging, for youth and adults, if we hope to reduce our personal impacts in the future. I have enjoyed many activities and experiences in the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking and backpacking, camping, canoeing, and bicycling. For several years now, I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel across the country teaching Leave No Trace Courses for  Scouting America. There is hope for our future, and I am looking forward to the possibilities of working with many other groups associated with the outdoors while representing Leave No Trace. Please reach out to get involved.
