Hot Spot Problems and Solutions Handbook

Since the beginning of the Hot Spot Program in 2010, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics has been working to compile data, recommendations and best practices from these activation weeks in terms of addressing impacts from outdoor recreation. The Hot Spot Problems and Solutions Handbook is a compilation of these recommendations, best practices and lessons learned from a number of past Hot Spot locations. It is intended as a resource for land managers, in an effort to tap into the larger collective to help sites brainstorm ideas and problem solve.
