Patapsco Valley State Park encompasses 16,043 acres, along 32 miles of the Patapsco River. It is made up of eight developed recreational areas with opportunities for recreation ranging from hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing to horseback and mountain bike trails, as well as picnicking. With over 200 miles of trails, 70 of which are maintained, the park experiences impacts including improper disposal of dog waste, trash, and graffiti/vandalism on historic structures, trees, and rocks.
