Leave No Trace Master Educator Course – American Alpine Institute

The Leave No Trace Master Educator course provides participants with extensive training in Leave No Trace skills and ethics. This program was designed for those who work extensively in the outdoors as teachers, volunteers, rangers, instructors and guides. Those who complete this program, will be able to provide Leave No Trace Trainer programs.

With a mission “to provide world-class mountain education, exceptional guided experiences, and to inspire natural preservation,” the American Alpine Institute is proud to offer two different options for the Leave No Trace Master Educator experience. The first option is a “classic” five-day backpacking program. And the second, is a six-day alpine climbing program. In both options, students will develop the skills to provide comprehensive Leave No Trace Trainer courses, as well as to lead Leave No Trace trainings for their organizations. Each program starts with a day in the frontcountry and then spends the remainder of the program in the mountains.
