About Lincoln:

Dr. Lincoln Larson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University. His conservation social science research and teaching focus on promoting sustainable human-environment interactions and fostering healthy relationships between people, parks, and nature.

“Outdoor recreation is very important to me, personally and professionally. I know how beneficial it can be, but I am also keenly aware of the variety of impacts it generates. Leave No Trace ethics not only help me manage my own ecological footprint when I’m in natural areas… I also use the principles to teach my students how to be responsible recreationists and environmental stewards.”
