Chris Baumgartner

Chris Baumgartner has been a leader in continuous improvement and information technology for the last 20 years, most recently working for Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado’s leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance.  His ability to help organizations such as Pinnacol align strategic intent with daily execution has been routinely exercised to achieve operational excellence. 

A native of Colorado and graduate of Outward Bound, Chris grew up happily exploring the Rocky Mountains on bikes, skis, snowshoes, rock walls, fishing streams, and hiking trails.   Preserving the natural beauty and sanctity of outdoor spaces — both urban and remote — has always been a core value for Chris, which is one of the many reasons he is so thrilled to be serving the mission of Leave No Trace.   When he’s not out enjoying a forest or a flower somewhere, Chris is at home with his daughter, son, and wife of over 25 years.
