Leave No Trace Spotlight: City of Austin Parks & Recreation

Leave No Trace’s new Spotlight program is a multi-day event to bring attention to community conservation, spread education, and to build momentum and inspire involvement for the future.

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at the City of Austin Spotlight November 2-4, collaborating with hosts and partners on a variety of programs including stewardship projects, workshops, and community outreach.

Opportunities to Get Involved:

Friday, November 3, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Learn about Leave No Trace and meet the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team at their booth near Barton Springs and Zilker Caretaker’s Cottage. 2105 Andrew Zilker Road, Austin, TX 78746.

Saturday, November 4, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Come celebrate It’s My Park Day with Austin Parks Foundation! Volunteers work in parks and green spaces all across the city on projects such as litter cleanup, tree mulching, invasive species management, riparian zone restoration, trail management, and more. It’s My Park Day is a great way to build community, foster relationships, and connect with other park lovers. The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at the Govalle Trash-y Rally to help kick off the project and share Leave No Trace education with volunteers and park visitors.
