Volunteer Stewardship Project - Mt. Tabor Park Spotlight

Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Weed Warriors, and Leave No Trace staff and partners for a fun and family-friendly volunteer day to care for Mt. Tabor Park. Volunteers will work on projects such as removing invasive species (e.g. blackberries) from Picnic Hill and other needed restoration work.

 

Space is limited. Advance sign up is required.

 

 Important information: 


- Bring water, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and dress for the weather. 


- Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


- Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required.


- Tools & supplies provided, but please bring work gloves if you have them.


- Work may entail bending, kneeling, crouching, light lifting and a short walk from the meeting spot. 


- Meet at Mt. Tabor Park Visitor Center
