Beth McCandless

Alabama State Advocate

Beth McCandless of McCalla, Alabama became a Leave No Trace Master Educator in October 2002. While working at Kanawahala Program Center, Beth encouraged Girl Scout Leaders to become Leave No Trace trainers and hosted a yearly Leave No Trace training at the camp.  She also traveled throughout the Southeast to assist with Leave No Trace trainings.  She currently teaches at a DYS facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Her goals as the Alabama State Advocate are to provide at least two trainer courses per year and maintain a network of volunteers throughout the state.
