Tucscon, AZ: We've been on the road for 10 months now, and often, folks just can't get enough of Leave No Trace. Once they see how effective Leave No Trace can be, they want Leave No Trace programming to come to their organization or local park. Ever wondered how to get Leave No Trace education into your community? Here are three ways to help share the Leave No Trace love:

Here at the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, we have four teams of two that travel the country specifically teaching Leave No Trace education – and all the education the teams do is free, thanks to partners like Subaru, REI, Thule, Deuter, ENO, and Klean Kanteen. We can accommodate groups large and small, attend festivals and staff trainings, or even hang out at a school for a day visiting classrooms. Interested in a Traveling Trainer team visit? Apply for consideration here!

Talk to One of Our State Advocates or Master Educators

While we wish we could fulfill every request for a Traveling Team visit, the reality of scheduling with only four teams means we can't fulfill every request. But that's where our nationwide system of State Advocates and Master Educators comes in. Our State Advocates track the Leave No Trace Master Educators in a state, and, depending on location and availability, might be able to put you in contact with one of them so that you can arrange to have a Leave No Trace presentation for your group. Sometimes, you can even contact them directly. Find your State Advocate and nearby Master Educators by clicking on your state here.

Know a little about Leave No Trace, and want to bring what you know to your community? Anyone can spread the word by hosting a short Awareness Workshop, with a little research on LNT.org – perhaps an Online Awareness Workshop – and a little bit of confidence. Not feeling as confident as you'd like? Learn more about Leave No Trace by taking a two-day Trainer Course, or go all-out by taking a five-day Master Educator course. Once you've completed a course, make sure you use your newfound knowledge by spreading the word!

Bringing Leave No Trace education into your community is easier than you might think – with a little Plan Ahead and Prepare and a lot of love for the outdoors. Do you have a Leave No Trace event coming up? Let us know where and when in the comments!

We hope you enjoy your Leave No Trace education, and Enjoy Your World!
