Steelhead Beach Hot Spot Events

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Team will be at the Steelhead Beach Leave No Trace Hot Spot August 3-8, 2022 leading a variety of workshops, outreach programs and community events.

 

Opportunities to Get Involved:

Thursday, August 4: Sonoma County Regional Parks and Leave No Trace are co-hosting a litter pick up on the Russian River. Volunteers will meet at Steelhead Beach and Sunset Beach to pick up litter from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Tools, gloves, drinks and snacks provided. There will also be a paddling clean up on the Russian River. Volunteers will launch from Steelhead Beach and float down to Sunset Beach. A shuttle will take participants from Sunset back to Steelhead. Reserve a kayak though Regional Parks or bring your own. More information & register at the links below:

Saturday, August 6: The Subaru/Leave No Trace Team will be at Steelhead Beach educating visitors, travelers and residents about Leave No Trace practices, skills and ethics, minimizing our impacts and enjoying the outdoors at Steelhead Beach in a responsible and sustainable way.
