Minimize Campfire Impacts: Fire Pan

Damascus, VA: Do you enjoy the warm glow of a campfire on a cool, clear night? Having campfires in the outdoors is a great way to bring people together. Take a look to see how you can make a campfire that will leave minimal impact to your backcountry campsite.

Fire pans offer a great opportunity to Leave No Trace. They come in all shapes and sizes, even ones small enough for backpacking. Next time you head out for a camping trip in an area that does not have an established fire ring, consider using a fire pan to Minimize Campfire Impacts. Remember to always check the rules and regulations for the area you are visiting to check if fires are allowed.
