The partnership between Subaru and Leave No Trace has been running strong since 1999. Subaru and Leave No Trace are partners in sustainability in the outdoors and in daily life. Our goal is to educate the public about the steps they can take to reduce their impact on our environment. From first time outdoor recreationalists to outdoor professionals, we inspire, encourage, and educate people how to connect and protect our world.

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Teams serve as the mobile education arm of the Leave No Trace organization, fulfilling this role since 1999 thanks to support from Subaru of America and other partners. The Teams, consisting of two educators each, conduct hands-on educational trainings, workshops and outreach programs for adults and children of all ages and backgrounds.

Each year Leave No Trace teams up with Subaru on a National clean-up. Subaru staff, Ambassadors, Retailers, and Owners participate in a 2-week long clean-up initiative. Together we demonstrate how to host a clean-up, how to do it safely, and why it is so important. Using various forms of communication, we will encourage everyone to get out and pick up trash in their community.

Subaru, the NPF, NPCA, and Leave No Trace formed an innovative partnership to protect some of America’s most iconic national parks and reduce the amount of waste that parks send to landfills. With Subaru’s help, Leave No Trace conducted three years of research in our national parks to better inform decision making in these parks. Additionally we co-created an online training for park visitors to take in order to make better decisions when visiting our parks.
