Patrick Hayes

Oklahoma State Advocate

I am Patrick T. Hayes, C.I.G., Naturalist for Tulsa County Parks and Oklahoma State Advocate for Leave No Trace! Often, you can find me in the Samuel Washington Woodhouse Nature Center working with partners and students on Nature-based education programs and events. Other times, I’ll be wandering through the forests at Chandler Park or down at a creek monitoring water quality. My favorite mammals are bats, and my favorite native plants are either genus Fraxinus (Ash) or Spiranthes (Ladies-tresses orchids), all found within West Tulsa. As your Oklahoma State Advocate for Leave No Trace, it is my goal and joy to see your community thrive through outdoor experiences by deepening our knowledge, respect, and wonder for Nature, from your own backyard to mountain peaks and prairies alike. Reach out to get involved!
