Allison Borell

Hawaii State Advocate

Aloha, my name is Allison Borell and I live on the island of Maui.  I have worked in conservation in the islands for over 10 years.  This work has given me a lot of knowledge and respect for Hawaiʻi’s natural environment, culture and a drive to mālama ʻaina.  Hawaiʻi faces several issues including wildfires, people using undesignated trails, overcrowding at tourists locations and many threats to native flora and fauna.  My goal as Hawaiʻi’s State Advocate is to offer awareness classes to the community on proper outdoor ethics and partner with existing organizations to increase education on how to recreate responsibly. If you wish to volunteer to help with these goals contact me today!
