Dana Watts has been a driving force behind the Leave No Trace organization since its inception in 1995. As Executive Director for three decades, she has led the organization’s dedicated team in Boulder, Colorado, championing its mission to protect the outdoors through education and outreach. Dana launched her career in public affairs at the Washington, DC firm Ogilvy Adams and Rinehart, where she focused on public education, policy, and advocacy. After relocating to Boulder, she found her calling in conservation education. A proud Colorado native, Dana is deeply connected to the natural world and passionate about empowering individuals to protect our shared planet.
