Breaks Interstate Park 2016

Breaks, VA

Breaks Interstate Park lies in Eastern Kentucky and Western Virginia. Impacts to the park include visitors leaving trash, illegal use of ATVs and graffiti. During the Hot Spot activation week, the Subaru/Traveling Trainer team conducted trainings on effective communication and the Authority of the Resource technique with local stakeholders and community members, as well as a training on the Seven Leave No Trace Principles for a local scout group. Over a two-day service project, 200+ lbs of trash was collected at the river, boat launches, and trailheads throughout the park.
