Level 1 Instructor and Skills Course

Course Dates: March 13-15

 

The Del-Mar-Va Council with Scouting America is hosting a Level 1 Instructor and Skills Course. The course is divided between classroom training and an overnight camping experience, during which participants of the Level 1 Instructor Course will each teach one of the principles within a small group. The course will also cover the Scouting America Outdoor Ethics program and awards.
Trip Details
  • Location: Henson Scout Reservation Lasher Activities Building
  • Check-in opens at 6:00 pm and the course will begin at 7:00 pm
  • Participants are required to provide their own camping gear for the overnight experience
  • Certification: Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor certification, valid for 2 years

Certification:

  • Successful completion of the course will earn your Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Certification.
  • Certification is valid for two years, with opportunities to co-instruct Leave No Trace Level 1 and Level 2 courses, as well as to lead Workshops and Skills Courses.
  • Course participants must be 18 or older for the Level 1 Instructor Course.
  • Skills Course participants must be 14 and older and will receive a certificate of completion.
