Leave No Trace Trainer Course – BSA

Who: Scouts, BSA over 14 years of age, Venturers, Adults and/or Youth, Venturing Advisors, Associate Venturing Advisors, Unit Commissioners, and other adult leaders.

What: The basic training course for individuals who want to become Outdoor Ethics Trainers.

The Leave No Trace Trainer discussing the sustainable elements of camping following the principles of Leave No Trace in a day and half, with overnight camping required as part of the course.  All course materials will be supplied in the fee.

Why : Learn the basics of Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics and the methods of teaching the course materials for troops, packs (age appropriate materials), or crews.  These hands on exercises will help you understand the 7 principles and how they apply to your hiking, backpacking and camping plans year round, and how best to take care of the land we use to leave it better than we found it.
