Become a Leave No Trace Trainer!!!

Learn to practice and be certified to teach outdoor wilderness ethics!!!

UCSB Adventure Programs is proud to offer Leave No Trace Trainer courses taught by one of our Master Educators. This 16 hour course may consist of a brief classroom or zoom portion with your instructor, followed by a weekend overnight camping trip to the Wind Wolves Preserve, part of the Wildlands Conservancy. Wind Wolves Preserve is in an ecologically unique region where the Transverse Ranges, Coast Ranges, Sierra Nevada, western Mojave Desert and San Joaquin Valley influences >converge. Due to elevation ranges from 640 to 6,005 feet, the Preserve has an impressive array of landforms and habitats that serve as a critical landscape linkage and wildlife corridor between the Coast Ranges and Sierra Nevada. To learn more about the Wildlands Conservancy and Wind Wolves Preserve please visit their website: https://wildlandsconservancy.org/preserves/windwolves

Our goal is for participants to finish the course feeling confident in their abilities to minimize outdoor impacts and pass those skills on to others.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course Certificate of Completion requires 16 hours in the field and a recommended overnight camping experience
