Leave No Trace – Trainer Course

April 30th-May 1st LNT Trainer Course in Tucson AZ. 

Description: Leave No Trace trainer course is an environmental ethics course perfect for any outdoor professional. Through this course, you will be taught to teach all 7 LNT principles focused on minimizing human impact in natural spaces. This course will be a combination of classroom and outdoor instruction time, featuring a one night camping overnight on Mount Lemmon. This course will specifically focus on LNT Principles and how they relate to the Southwest environment and ecosystems. This course includes: all LNT instruction and materials, as well as all gear, transportation, and food associated with the overnight camping outdoor portion of the course. This course has been provided free to University of Arizona students thanks to the Campus Sustainability Fund. The next upcoming course will take place from April 30th-May 1st. This program will begin at the University of Arizona Outdoor Recreation center on 7th street, more details will follow via email after registration.

Prerequisites: It is recommended that participants come with a fairly high comfort level of camping in the outdoors, as this course will focus on teaching Leave No Trace Principles rather than outdoor living skills.
