Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Course

Join members and instructors from the Colorado Leave No Trace Coalition as we work together to enhance the reach of sustainable recreation practices and Leave No Trace educational efforts during this two-day course. Participants will learn about and practice teaching the Leave No Trace Seven Principles in both classroom and outdoor settings, developing useful skills in both minimal-impact outdoor recreation and teaching/communication techniques. Upon completion, participants will be certified Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructors, qualifying them to lead Leave No Trace Skills Courses and Workshops and educate others about best practices for minimum-footprint outdoor experiences.

Dates: April 13-14, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Location: Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, CO

Lodging: Tent camping at a group site in Cheyenne Mountain State Park (free) or nearby hotel accommodations (paid)

Cost: $25, which includes all course materials and entrance to Cheyenne Mountain State Park
