Ice Age Trail – Lapham Peak, WI – September 25-27, 2026

Join Leave No Trace at Ice Age Trail – Lapham Peak, WI – September 25-27, 2026

Each year, Leave No Trace hand-selects nominated outdoor spaces that deserve collective care and attention. By designating them as Spotlights, we’re rallying the local community to step up, join forces with Leave No Trace, and make a meaningful impact that can revitalize and protect these special places where we recreate, enjoy one another’s company, and elevate our health physically, mentally and emotionally.

Ice Age Trail – Lapham Peak has been selected as a 2026 Leave No Trace Spotlight. The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at Ice Age Trail – Lapham Peak September 25-27, collaborating with hosts and partners on a variety of programs including workshops, community outreach, and stewardship projects.

Opportunities to Get Involved:

SEPTEMBER 26  | 9 am – 12 pm

Ice Age Trail-Lapham Peak Leave No Trace Spotlight & National Public Lands Day Volunteer Stewardship Project, Meet at Lapham Lodge

Give back and join Friends of Lapham Peak, Leave No Trace, Ice Age Trail Alliance, and WisCorps for a rewarding volunteer project. Activities include removing invasive species and native seed collection. Volunteers will also learn about Leave No Trace principles and stewardship education. This volunteer day coincides with National Public Lands Day 2026, offering a great opportunity to be part of a day of service and celebration of our parks, forests, and trails across the nation! Volunteers should bring work gloves if possible, and dress for being in the field where prickly raspberry bushes may be possible (long pants and close-toed shoes required, long sleeves a good idea).

Advance sign-up is encouraged (but not required) here: Volunteer RSVP

SEPTEMBER 26  | 3 – 5 pm
