Juanita Wade

Tennessee State Advocate

Hi, I’m Juanita Wade, and I’m proud to serve as the Tennessee State Advocate for Leave No Trace. Based in Chattanooga, TN, I have always called the Tri-State area of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama home. The outdoors has been my backyard for as long as I can remember, shaping my love for nature and conservation. My journey with Leave No Trace began through my involvement with the Girl Scouts, where I developed a passion for teaching responsible outdoor ethics. Whether hiking, kayaking, or simply enjoying my backyard, I believe in protecting and preserving our natural spaces for future generations.
As a State Advocate, my mission is to expand youth Leave No Trace awareness beyond Scouting, promote Leave No Trace through partnerships, outreach, and certification opportunities, and identify key areas where Leave No Trace education and instructors can have the greatest impact. Through workshops, community engagement, and sustainable event initiatives, I aim to strengthen Tennessee’s commitment to responsible outdoor recreation. Let’s work together to protect the places we love! Want to collaborate or learn more? Let’s connect!

Let’s protect and enjoy our natural world together
