Izzy Haake

South Carolina State Advocate

My name is Izzy Haake (they/she), and I am a master’s student in Parks, Recreation, Tourism Management with a focus in outdoor recreation at Clemson University. I also work for Leisure Skills at Clemson as a Graduate Assistant, and I teach backpacking and kayaking to students! I am originally from Kansas and received my undergraduate degree in Park Management and Conservation from Kansas State University. I learned about Leave No Trace when I took my Level 1 Certification and fell in love with educating others and how to apply the principles to different outdoor activities. My favorite outdoor activities include backpacking, kayaking, hiking, and birding. I am so excited to be South Carolina’s State Advocate! I am looking forward to sharing my passion with the community and educating people on how to best Leave No Trace. If you would like to be involved in South Carolina, send me an email and we can connect!
