Join Leave No Trace’s Alabama State Advocate and Level 2 Instructor Kim Waites for this 16-hour Virtual Level 1 Instructor Course! This course is grounded in real-world field experience, stewardship work, and years of teaching outdoor ethics across a wide range of audiences. Designed for both outdoor enthusiasts and professionals, this course goes beyond the basics to explore not only the 7 Leave No Trace principles, but the deeper “why” behind them—connecting practical skills with the ethics and science that support responsible recreation.
