Roxborough State Park (CO) ‘Bigfoot Goin’ to Rock the Rox’

Set against the stunning backdrop of Roxborough State Parks’s dramatic red sandstone formations, Bigfoot Goin’ to Rock The Rox brings the legend of Bigfoot to life not as a mystery of the woods, but as a master and mascot of environmental ethics.

This is a family friendly gathering at the Visitor Center patio to engage visitors with educational booths featuring the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace, interactive games, giveaways, and a sing-along with the Sasquatch Singers,” The day brings the excitement of our volunteers and park staff dedicated to protecting our “Gold Standard” Park. The highlight of the day is the appearance of Bigfoot himself, who roams the park alongside Colorado Parks and Wildlife mascot Elbert the Bighorn Sheep. Whether you’re posing for a photo with the creatures or learning how to “Keep Wildlife Wild,” the event captures a high-energy atmosphere that is a rockin’ outdoor event. It is a mission of stewardship that proves even a legend knows how to respect the rocks! When you attend wearing Bigfoot attire, you’ll receive a special prize!
