Maura is an environmentalist, an outdoor guide and PhD researcher in nature conservation and outdoor recreation with the University of Galway. Her first and foremost love is spending time immersed in nature and the natural world with her family. Maura feels very passionate about educating and inspiring people of all ages and abilities to get outdoors. Her ambition in her role of CEO of Leave No Trace Ireland is to help people to form a personal and ethical relationship with the environment that leads to actions that create a sustainable planet for the future.
