Level 1 Instructor Courses
Leave No Trace Level One Instructor Course – Wild Alabama
Harnessing the power of science, education for all, and stewardship to support and protect nature, Leave No Trace is on a mission to ensure a sustainable future for the outdoors and the planet. Central to this mission are the Leave No Trace Level One and Level Two Instructors, who play a pivotal role in promoting and teaching these principles.
Wild Alabama is proud to partner with Leave No Trace to offer Level One Instructor Courses. This immersive, hands-on course is ideal for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Leave No Trace ethic. They are particularly beneficial for recreational leaders, scout leaders, youth group leaders, and anyone responsible for guiding groups in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, or rock climbing.
Additionally, this course is an excellent fit for land managers or individuals in leadership roles with parks, nature preserves, or privately owned lands that welcome public recreation. Whether you oversee outdoor spaces or lead activities, this training equips participants with the tools and knowledge to foster responsible, sustainable outdoor practices.
Why take this course?
As more people explore our natural spaces, the need for responsible recreation has never been greater; becoming a Level One Instructor enables you to lead Leave No Trace Workshops and Skills Courses to teach others how to minimize their impact, fostering a culture of conservation and stewardship.
