Leave No Trace Workshop and Hike

Date: Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join Rich Ross and Lindsey Smith on a Leave No Trace hike through the beautiful Wellesley Island State Park. We will stop periodically during the hike to enjoy interactive activities of the seven principles of Leave No Trace. The workshop will be for workers, volunteers and community members.

There will be a presentation in the center and a hike to learn about the Leave No Trace Principles. We will start with a Leave No Trace PowerPoint in the center. Participants will then participate in hands on activities during several stops on a hike. If the weather does not cooperate, we will plan to stay inside and/or close to the center. Please plan to be outside and hike for most of the workshop. Bring snacks, lunch and water, and wear sturdy shoes/boots and dress accordingly.

Check the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center event page for more details and to register.
