Giovanny Sanjurjo

Puerto Rico State Advocate

My name is Giovanny, and I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I was exposed to outdoor activities early in my life. But it was not until I was in Boy Scout that I began my journey in outdoor recreation. I started as a camp staff member at the Boy Scout Camp in 1994, and since that time I have worked in the industry as an outdoor educator, camping, backpacking, and as a Level 2 Instructor. I have been blessed with opportunities to work in Puerto Rico and the US in the outdoor recreation industry. My goal as a State Advocate is to educate users and land managers on environmental stewardship and the important impacts of education in outdoor recreation in a safe way for us and our ecosystems. Contact me to support environmental stewardship for the benefit of our beautiful island.
