Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Course – BSA
Course Dates: 8:00 am Sat, October 14 through 3:00 pm Sun, October 15, 2023
Where: BSA Sequoyah Council Service Center, 129 Boone Ridge Dr, Johnson City, TN 37615
Cost: $45 per person
The Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Course is a 16-hour hands-on course to equip you to teach the Leave No Trace principles by conducting Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops. The course is for adults and older youth who are committed to responsible use of our outdoor resources and want to share that passion with others.
The course is divided between classroom training and an overnight backcountry experience, during which participants will each teach one of the principles within a small group. The course will also cover the BSA Outdoor Ethics program and awards. Non-BSA members are welcome as participants.
Registered BSA members must be at least 14 years of age. Participants under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission. Non-BSA members must be at least 18 years of age.
