Level 1 Instructor Courses

Leave No Trace Trainer Course – BSA

When: May 4th and May 7-8th 2022

Zoom  presentation Wednesday May 4th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. In-person course begins at 8:00am Saturday and concludes by 11:00AM on Sunday.  You must attend and participate in all sessions, and teach one pre assigned topic to the group.

Where: Phillippo Scout Reservation, Cannon Falls MN

Cost: $45 per person

Join us for a fun weekend exploring our outdoor impacts.  Become ready to teach Leave No Trace to your unit and for merit badges segments, lead games for unit activities and share skills with others. Even show off your presentation skills!

Bonus: become ready to hold the Outdoor Ethics Guide leadership position or Advisor.

Strongly Recommended for:

  • Scouts BSA, Venturers, & Sea Scouts ages 14 and older
  • New Leaders, Experienced Leaders
  • IOLS, BALOO and Woodbadge Instructors….

Pre-req:  Take the online Leave No Trace Awareness course prior to coming to class and bring the training certificate.

Youth, download the Leave No Trace Waiver, obtain parent or guardian signature and bring to camp.

Location:  Outside  of Le Sueur Lodge. You will need camping gear for a standard weekend:  small tent, sleeping bag, pad, mess kit, rain gear, backpack water bottle. Friday arrival possible, contact course coordinator

Food is provided. Youth are encouraged to attend with another member from their unit.
