Buffalo National River

Working closely with the Arkansas Chapter of Leave No Trace, Buffalo National River has reached its goal of becoming a Gold Standard Site by taking a comprehensive approach to incorporating Leave No Trace throughout training, visitor programs, their #Riverwise campaign as well as signage. Buffalo National River provides numerous both formal and informal opportunities for staff and visitors alike to learn and practice Leave No Trace. From running consistent public Trainer Courses, equipping campground hosts with effective communication and Authority of the Resource skills, to incorporating Leave No Trace activities in their Junior Ranger booklet for their youngest stewards, Buffalo National River has committed to stewardship education throughout their operations.
