Leave No Trace Trainer Course

This Trainer course is designed for educators, guides, boy scouts, girl scouts, and other non-profit leaders, agency employees, and other outdoor professionals. Successful graduates of the Trainer Course gain the skills to teach Leave No Trace techniques and ethics to their clients, friends and family. Participants learn the concepts of Leave No Trace and prepare to teach Leave No Trace curriculum in a variety of settings-schools, camps, parks, wilderness and front country areas.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

When:  October 6, 2012 8am to October 7, 2012 5pm. 

Cost:  No cost but you will need to supply your own food and gear.   

Description: This program promotes skills and ethics to support the sustainable use of wildlands and natural areas. This is a two day course with one night of camping.    After completing this course you will become a Leave No Trace Trainer and will receive a certificated from the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics in Boulder, CO.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

The Southeastern Foot Trails Coalition is sponsoring this course and is open to anyone interested in learning about teaching the principles to others.  The course features a short easy backpack and overnight campout.

The main objective of this course is to train attendees on how to present the ethics to others. Various teaching methods will be introduced and discussed and participants will have an opportunity to present as well.

COST: $50.00 to be paid at time of registration; Meals Provided; Trainer starter kit and certificate provided

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

If you are interested in learning and practicing the seven Principles of Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics and teaching them to others or are an outdoor enthusiasts who wants to learn the skills needed to minimize their impact, this is the program for you. Typical attendees include backpackers, Scouts, Scout leaders, camp counselors, outdoor groups/clubs, and families.

Date: Saturday 8:00AM September 15th to 3:00PM September 16th

Cost: $75, ($60 for Scouts)

Recommended Ages: Adults and students (age 14 & up)

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Cost: $40.00 will cover all food and beverages, group equipment, camp fees, training materials, and trainer patch.

Who: Anyone who is 14 years of age or older. Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Girl Scouts, Scouters, anyone who has a love of the great outdoors that would like to learn Leave No Trace Skills will be welcome to attend. All Youth Protection Rules for the BSA will be followed with 2 deep leadership. Youth and Scouters will have separate tenting areas. Camp Ransburg is a No Smoking Facility and there will be No Alcohol allowed on the course.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Cost: $50 for a Mountaineers member, $75 for a non-member

Who: Anyone interested in learning Leave No Trace principles and practices (including outdoor recreationalists, guides or educators, scouts leaders…)

Teen Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Cost: $75 for a Mountaineers member, $125 for a non-member

Who: For high school students only! Offered for youth ages 13-17.

Trainer Course

Master Educators Dave Salzer and Karen Kite of the award winning Stanislaus Wilderness Volunteers will be teaching a Leave No Trace Trainer Course June 23-24, 2012 in the beautiful Stanislaus National Forest near Pinecrest, California in the central Sierra Nevada. This will be a lively, hands on introduction to the LNT program with practice and planning to help students become effective LNT Trainers. Land management agency staff, youth group leaders, guides and other interested parties are welcome.
