Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Shenandoah National Park, VA

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club is offering this two day, low-mileage, backpacking format course designed to enhance your understanding of Leave No Trace practice and ethics and to increase your level of expertise and confidence in teaching Leave No Trace skills. Through focused activities, hands-on field experience and both formal and informal discussions, you will be introduced to concepts and methods that will advance your knowledge of Leave No Trace issues, expand your repertoire of low-impact skills and increase your effectiveness in teaching these important skills to others.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Grand Canyon, AZ

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be leading a 2-day Leave No Trace Trainer Course prior to the 2018 Hiking Guides Training Seminar hosted by the Grand Canyon Association.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course -Griswold Scout Reservation, NH

This course is designed to provide senior Scouts, co-ed Venturers and/or community teenagers & adults of all ages the Leave No Trace training. Using the Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics message, participants will learn 'hands-on' how to plan and prepare for future trips  by taking advantage of durable surfaces to camp and hike, properly disposing of waste, leaving what is found where it is found, minimizing the impacts of campfires, respecting wildlife and respecting others who may travel the same path.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Boy Scouts of America, Frazier Park, California

Upon completion of the weekend class you will be:

  • A certified Leave No Trace Trainer 
  • Will have been taught the tools to teach others about Outdoor Ethics
  • Teach Outdoor Ethics Guides and Outdoor Ethics Awareness

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Chattahooche National Forest, TN

The Georgia Appalachian Trail Club is sponsoring this course open to anyone who is interested in learning more about teaching the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace to others. The course features a short easy backpack and overnight campout.

The main objective of this course is to train attendees on how to present the ethics to others. Each participant will present one of the principles to the class. Various teaching methods will also be introduced and discussed.

Cost: $40

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - University of Montana

This Leave No Trace Trainer Course is designed for all those who value the land and want to teach others how to protect and preserve it. Graduates receive a Trainer certificate and will be qualified to teach Leave No Trace skills and ethics to various groups. This is a hands on, participatory course conducted in the outdoors. The pre trip meeting will take place on October 18th at 5:00 pm

Through focused activities, hands on field experience and both formal and informal discussions, you will be introduced to concepts and methods that will advance your knowledge of Leave No Trace issues, expand your repertoire of low-impact skills and increase your effectiveness in teaching these skills to others.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Nockamixon State Park

As a result of participating in this two-day course, participants will become Leave No Trace Trainers. This means they are able to conduct Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops, which can be anywhere from 3-minute to day-long programs focused on the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course - Phillippo Scout Reservation, MN

The Trainer Course is an informative, practical and fun, 2-day workshop on the ethics and practice of minimum-impact recreation and travel. Course participants will learn skills and teaching techniques through lectures, skits and discussions in a rustic outdoor setting. This course is designed for any BSA adult or youth at least age 14 in learning and practicing the 7 principles of Leave No Trace ethics and teaching them to others. This also prepares you for the leadership role of Outdoor Ethics guide or advisor.
