Join the Center in Chicago for a Leave No Trace Backyard Session

On Wednesday, May 23rd, the Center will work with local groups to clean up North Avenue Beach while providing onsite Leave No Trace education. The program, part of the Leave No Trace Center’s Backyard Sessions initiative teaches locals how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly while providing an onsite service project.

The Backyard Session clean-up will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 12:00pm-4:00pm. All Volunteers should meet at North Avenue Beach next to Castaways and bring appropriate attire, gloves, water and protection from the sun.

In an area once dominated by mine pits, the Leave No Trace e-tour team visited with an inspired and inspiring group of high school students to talk about Leave No Trace, protecting the outdoors, and really making an impact in your community. Bears were on the loose In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the Leave No Trace e-tour set up on just one lake this Monday -- Lake Bemidji.
