What about if it's for a good cause? That's exactly what over 200 cyclists did this weekend at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Test Track as part of the Subaru CASA Cycling Challenge . No Trace of NOAC

Once every two to three years, over 8,000 members of the Boy Scouts of America descend on a college campus for the week-long National Order of the Arrow Conference, or NOAC . These Scouts are all members of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society. While at NOAC, they participate in training, competitions, service projects, and fellowship events. Along with our trusty compatriot Bigfoot, the Leave No Trace e-tour team joined everyone at NOAC as they took over Michigan State University. We manned a booth at the Expo in Adventure Central, talking to thousands in a matter of...

Outdoor Nation Austin

At the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics we aim to create environmental stewards through a three-part approach: educate, connect, protect. At the Outdoor Nation Signature Summit in Austin, TX, the e-tour team got to hit on all three of those ideas as they relate to Outdoor Ethics and the mission of Outdoor Nation -- getting kids outside and excited about the environment! Throughout the weekend-long conference, attendees from high schools, universities, and recent graduates from across Texas and the country discussed how to get youth outside. They thought up creative ways to reach youth...

After collecting trash ranging from cigarette butts to water-...

Honorary Cajuns

Down on the Bayou in the July heat, the Leave No Trace e-tour team joined up with Boy Scouts from across Southern Louisiana for a weekend full of Leave No Trace education, volunteer conservation work, campsongs, and tasty Cajun eating. The Evangaline Area Council organized a whole weekend dedicated to Leave No Trace where we held awareness workshops with adult Scouters, Boy Scouts, Webelos, and Cub Scouts. No matter their age group,6 all of the participants really dug into our cathole discussions. What's more fun to talk about with Boy Scouts than how to poop in the woods? Absolutely nothing...

100 Years of Girl Scouts Adventuring!

In Savannah, GA, in 1912, Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts of the USA. One hundred years later, that organization is alive and well. While on March 12, 1912, Low assembled 18 girls for the first meeting, this past week in Savannah, GA, we saw over 1,600 girls and adult leaders come together for a Centennial Camporee! At this event, they celebrated the incredible history of the organization, worked on awesome activities, and got to spend some quality time outdoors canoeing, SCUBA diving, shooting shotguns, and visiting the beautiful Georgia Coast. Hailing from over 30 states, these...
