Bigfoot Parties Like A Girl Scout

Albany, OR. Whenever anything reaches 100 years of age, that is cause for celebration. That is exactly what the Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington did over the past week to honor 100 years of rich tradition. During the week, hundreds of girls camped out with their troops near Sweet Home, Oregon for the Northwest Centennial Roundup. There were educational and project based workshops offered four times a day. The event was for Girl Scout Ambassdors, Seniors, Cadettes and incoming Cadettes. There was event a river rafting event for the girls to experience some adventure, too. To add to the...

No Trace of NOAC

Once every two to three years, over 8,000 members of the Boy Scouts of America descend on a college campus for the week-long National Order of the Arrow Conference, or NOAC . These Scouts are all members of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society. While at NOAC, they participate in training, competitions, service projects, and fellowship events. Along with our trusty compatriot Bigfoot, the Leave No Trace e-tour team joined everyone at NOAC as they took over Michigan State University. We manned a booth at the Expo in Adventure Central, talking to thousands in a matter of...

Outdoor Nation Austin

Throughout the weekend-long conference, attendees from high schools, universities, and recent graduates from across Texas and the country discussed how to get youth outside.
