The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be at Cope Environmental Center leading two fun and interactive programs for the community:

1. Leave No Trace games and activities for Summer Adventure Camp youth

2. Leave No Trace Outdoor Skills & Ethics Workshop for Families - 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Cope Environmental Center promotes the sustainable use of the earth’s resources through education, demonstration, and research. Its 130 acres include 3 wetlands, 2 ponds, conifers, deciduous forest, prairie, and grasslands.

 

Friends of Nevada Wilderness Awareness Workshop - Sparks, NV

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers are partnering with Friends of Nevada Wilderness to deliver this free Leave No Trace awareness workshop for all members of the Reno community. Learn the principles of Leave No Trace through interactive games and activities for seasoned and novice outdoor user alike! 

Lake Tahoe InstaMeet 2018 - South Lake Tahoe, CA

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers are excited to join this one-of-a-kind event hosted on Lake Tahoe's South Shore by Gabriel Lopez Photography and Tahoe South to educate Instagrammers, social media influencers, and photographers on the principles and practices of Leave No Trace while grabbing the perfect shot. This event is free and open to the public on January 27th, from 12-5pm at Camp Richardson Resort/Beacon Bar and Grill.

Cosumnes River Preserve - Galt, CA

Partnering with the Bureau of Land Management Mother Lode Field Office and Cosumnes River Preserve, the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be offering a two-hour Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop at the Co

Robert L. McCaffrey Middle School - Galt, CA

Partnering with the Bureau of Land Management Mother Lode Field Office and Cosumnes River Preserve, the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be providing three days of Leave No Trace programs to 7th graders at Robert L. McCaffrey Middle School.

Knob Noster State Park Gold Standard Site Visit - Knob Noster, MO

In 2016, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics announced 10 exemplary outdoor areas across the country to receive new Leave No Trace seal of approval as Leave No Trace Gold Standard Sites, including Knob Noster State Park.

Gold Standard designation is part of the Center’s ‘Leave No Trace in Every Park’ initiative that recognizes outdoor spaces demonstrating the highest standard of practicing and promoting Leave No Trace ethics.

Knob Noster State Park will be hosting the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers as part of their Gold Standard Site status.

Kieve-Wavus Education, Inc - Nobleboro, ME

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be on site at Kieve-Wavus Education, Inc. to conduct two half-day workshops, one with 80 Kieve Boys Camp Staff and one with 70 Wavus Girls Camp Staff, as part of the camp's annual staff training.

Tahoe Rim Trail Association Staff and Volunteer Workshop - Stateline, NV

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be joining staff, volunteers, crew leaders, and guides of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association for a Leave No Trace awareness workshop. This workshop will blend interactive activities and focused discussion to teach the principles and practice of Leave No Trace, as well as effective communication for those  "less than Leave No Trace" moments. 

Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHP - Hodgenville, KY

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park to train agency staff, volunteers, and local partners in Authority of the Resource and Effective Communication Strategies and Techniques, with a focus on frontcountry practices.

REI Reno Awareness Workshop - Reno, NV

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will conduct an awareness workshop for members of the Reno/Tahoe outdoor community. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced outdoor enthusiasts to recommit to practicing the latest and best Leave No Trace methods in their outdoor pursuits, and will be a wonderful introduction to Leave No Trace principles for those unfamiliar with Leave No Trace.
