Leave No Trace Spotlight: Noyo Headlands Park

Leave No Trace’s new Spotlight program is a multi-day event to bring attention to community conservation, spread education, and to build momentum and inspire involvement for the future.

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at the Noyo Headlands Park Spotlight October 13-14, collaborating with hosts and partners on a variety of programs including stewardship projects, workshops, and community outreach.

Opportunities to Get Involved:

Friday, October 13, 5:00 – 6:00 pm: Join Latino Outdoors North Coast and Leave No Trace for a free family-friendly Introduction to Leave No Trace Workshop. Through fun and interactive activities and discussion, learn how Leave No Trace practices can help us protect our favorite natural spaces. Snacks will be provided. Meet near the restrooms at W Cypress parking lot entrance to Noyo Headlands Park. RSVP here

Saturday, October 14, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Join Latino Outdoors North Coast, the City of Fort Bragg, Mendocino Land Trust, and Leave No Trace for a free family-friendly Stewardship Day volunteer project including native plant restoration and educational information about Leave No Trace. Be prepared to get your hands into the dirt to plant native plants and remove invasive species. Everyone will have the chance to take native plants home with them. Lunch will be provided. Meet near the restrooms at W Cypress parking lot entrance to Noyo Headlands Park. RSVP required here.
