Georgia State Advocate

Greetings from Canton an hour north of Atlanta. It’s great to be the GA State Leave No Trace Advocate. I was born in Connecticut but raised in Georgia and love the outdoors. I’m actively engaged in the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. I am a Leave No Trace Master Educator, a Trail Maintainer, and a Trail Ambassador all of which provide a great platform to discuss Leave No Trace Principles. I’m very passionate about teaching our youth about Leave No Trace and routinely conduct classes at all levels from Elementary through Graduate Schools.

As your State Advocate, my goals for 2023 are to:

  1. Broaden youth LNT awareness,
  2. Promote LNT to partner organizations through outreach & certification,
  3. Develop a robust list of LNT Trainers & Master Educators that actively assist in providing LNT education, and
  4. Identify gaps in LNT training/awareness across the state.

I’ll assist you any way I can and will respond to all inquiries as soon as possible. Let’s do this together!
