AIANTA CEO Sherry Rupert to Speak at the Leave No Trace Global Summit

This October (10/7-9) in Boulder, Colorado, Leave No Trace will host a worldwide gathering of leaders in protecting natural spaces and promoting a healthy, inclusive outdoors. Sherry Rupert, the CEO of the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA), has joined the still-expanding list of featured speakers for the three-day event.

Sherry Rupert, AIANTA CEOIn 2021, Leave No Trace and AIANTA announced a partnership to promote a consistent, nationwide message of sustainable tourism throughout indigenous communities across the United States. “AIANTA’s marketing and educational efforts directly align with the mission of Leave No Trace, which encourages travelers to leave minimum impacts when visiting the great outdoors,” says Rupert.

The Leave No Trace summit will feature dozens of inspiring speakers from the outdoor industry, education, and land management sectors. Attendees will learn about new stewardship resources and emerging research, and will have plentiful networking opportunities.

Other highlights of the event include: 

  • A diverse and inspiring list of speakers, including global leaders in sustainability
  • More than 20 informative breakout sessions with real-world implementation examples provided by Leave No Trace experts
  • Voices from the outdoor industry, sustainable tourism, outdoor education, land management, and other sectors
