Whole Foods Market Little Rock, 501 S. Bowman Road, will host a Community Giving Day on Jan. 11, 2017, and will donate 5 percent of that day’s net sales to the Arkansas chapter of Leave No Trace, an organization dedicated to outdoor education.
“One of Whole Foods Market’s core values is to serve and support our local communities by partnering with organizations like the Leave No Trace Arkansas chapter,” said Sara Fulton-Koerbling, community liaison at Whole Foods Market’s Little Rock store. “Another core value is to practice and advance environmental stewardship. Our Community Giving Day supporting Leave No Trace is a perfect match.”
Leave No Trace is built upon the premise that conservation of the outdoors is possible only when people know how to prevent impact from their activities. Funds raised during this Community Giving Day will be used for programming and educational materials in the Little Rock community.
“Leave No Trace Arkansas is excited to partner with Whole Foods of Little Rock to support our shared objective of environmental stewardship through education,” said Rob Stephens, Arkansas advocate for Leave No Trace. “We feel that Whole Foods’ passion for the environment complements Leave No Trace’s mission to sustain healthy, vibrant lands for all to enjoy, now and for future generations.”
