GEAR:   What you would bring on a backpacking or car camping trip, be sure to include a tent and a trowel.  Any other questions should be directed to Beth McCandless at (205) 540-0030.

WHAT THIS TRAINING PROVIDES:  Anyone attending this training will be considered a Leave No Trace Trainer at the national level with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.  IF YOU ARE IN BOY SCOUTING, You can also be eligible to apply for a staff position AS THE LEAVE NO TRACE TRAINER on A BOY SCOUT Summer Camp Staff.  Becoming a Leave No Trace Trainer enables you to successfully conduct awareness workshops and scouting badge workshops.

In order to complete the course, you will present a talk for 7 to 10 minutes about one of the Leave No Trace principles.  If you would like to prepare ahead of time, you can look at information at www.lnt.org or obtain a copy of Soft Paths.

DIRECTIONS:  From I-65 S toward Montgomery.  Take exit 246 for Cahaba Valley Rd/State Hwy 119 (0.3 mi).  Turn right at AL-119/Cahaba Valley Rd (8.2 mi).  Turn right at Doug Baker Blvd (0.8 mi).  Turn right at AL-280/AL-38 (7.2 mi).  Turn left at Highway 440 (0.6 mi).  Turn left at Old Hwy 280 (0.1 mi).  Turn right at Hargis Dr (0.6 mi). 
17.Slight left at Girl Scout Rd .  Destination will be on the right (0.1 mi).  Continue on Girl Scout Road around Lake Alice and check in at the largest building, the program Center Office will be on the right hand wing of the building.
